The International Siddhashram Shakti Centre and Harrow Interfaith hosted a special civic and community recognition ceremony at the Siddhashram Community Hub in Harrow on Saturday, bringing together community leaders, elected representatives, faith leaders, and distinguished guests to celebrate individuals who have made outstanding contributions to society.
The highlight of the event was the honouring of Mrs Jean Lammiman, former Mayor and one of Harrow’s most respected public servants, for her exceptional dedication to community service spanning more than three decades. The recognition acknowledged her long-standing commitment to public life, culture, community development, social welfare, and civic engagement across the Borough of Harrow. Mrs Lammiman has served Harrow in numerous leadership roles, including Councillor, Deputy Mayor, Mayor, Cabinet Member, and Portfolio Holder for Community and Cultural Services, earning widespread respect for her tireless service to local residents.
The World Book of Records honored Mrs. Jean Lammiman with a distinguished recognition certificate in acknowledgment of her exemplary contributions to the community, culture, arts, and humanity. The award was conferred by His Holiness Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji, Peace Ambassador of the World Book of Records and Founder as well as Global Spiritual Leader of the International Siddhashram Shakti Centre. In addition to the certificate, a commemorative medal and ceremonial shawl were presented during the felicitation ceremony, which was attended by Gopajit Singh Bhachu, Cllr. Vaishali Shah, Deputy Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and Callr. Janet Mote.
Mrs Lammiman for her remarkable contribution to public life. Addressing the gathering, HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji praised Mrs Lammiman’s lifelong commitment to serving people irrespective of background, faith, or culture. Guruji said that true leadership is measured not by position but by selfless service, compassion, and the positive impact one leaves on society. He highlighted the importance of recognising individuals who dedicate their lives to community welfare and inter-community harmony.

The ceremony also recognised two other distinguished individuals for their contributions to society:
Mr Ajay Chaudhry IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, was honoured for his remarkable service and leadership in policing and public administration.
Mr Gopi Bhusal, Dubai, was recognised for his continued support of humanitarian initiatives, saints, and charitable work in both the UAE and the United Kingdom.
Both recipients received certificates on behalf of the International Siddhashram Shakti Centre (UK, USA and India), along with traditional shawls presented by HH Guruji.

The event featured addresses from several prominent guests including Gopaljit Singh Bhachu (Chair, Harrow Interfaith), Cllr Janet Mote, Cllr Vaishali Shah, HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji, Ramji Chauhan (Former Mayor of Harrow), Ajay Chaudhry IPS, Cllr Govind Bharadia, Catherine, Dr Lalit Sodha OBE, Cllr Harshad Patel (Former Mayor of Brent), Samji Patel, and Avjit Singh.
Adding a cultural touch to the evening, young singer Baby Vani delivered a musical performance that was warmly received by the audience.

The event concluded with a message of gratitude, unity, and community service, reaffirming the International Siddhashram Shakti Centre’s commitment to recognising individuals whose work strengthens society and inspires future generations.
