Siddhashram Joins Harrow’s Annual Civic Service to Celebrate Interfaith Harmony and Shared Spiritual Values
London.
The Annual Civic Service held at the historic St Mary’s Church, Harrow on the Hill on Sunday 22 June 2025, brought together civic leaders, faith representatives, and the wider community to celebrate unity and shared values, with Siddhashram UK playing a prominent role in the interfaith proceedings.
The event was led by The Worshipful The Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Anjana Patel, who continues to serve as a shining example of inclusive leadership within one of London’s most diverse boroughs. The service was conducted by The Reverend Graham Dale, with the Mayor’s Chaplain Mr Tilak Parekh, and featured readings and sacred texts from multiple faith traditions.
Representing Siddhashram at the service was His Holiness Rajrajeshwar Guruji, Founder and Spiritual Head of Siddhashram UK, a global organisation rooted in Sanatan Dharma and dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, service, and interfaith harmony. Guruji was joined by Samani Malay Pragya Ji, Samani Neeti Pragya Ji, Harrow Interfaith Chair Gopal Singh Bhachu, along with esteemed interfaith leaders, further reinforcing the spirit of unity among Dharmic traditions. Also in attendance was Siddhashram Trustee Mr Dilipbhai Chaubal, affirming the organisation’s strong commitment to civic and interfaith engagement.
The Civic Service was further dignified by the presence of Mr Simon Ovens DL, Deputy Lieutenant of the London Borough of Harrow and His Majesty The King’s official representative, who is also a respected Patron of Siddhashram UK. Mr Ovens read the broadcast by HM King George VI on 15 August 1945 a tribute to VJ Day and the end of the Second World War. Mr Ovens has long supported Siddhashram’s efforts to promote interfaith understanding, community service, and moral education.
Following the service, guests were hosted at a reception at the historic Harrow School by its Headmaster Mr Alastair Land, providing a fitting conclusion to a morning filled with reflection, faith, and fellowship.
Siddhashram UK remains deeply committed to participating in such meaningful civic occasions, where ancient spiritual wisdom and modern community values converge to build a more harmonious society. Report by : Mahesh Liloriya.
