International Siddhashram Shakti Center is wholeheartedly dedicated towards Shvan Seva ie., Dog welfare and is a house to many pet dogs. In Hinduism, Dogs are worshipped for their loyalty and ability to protect and the most common worship of the Dog is through an aspect of Lord Shiva, called Kala Bhairava.

Since time immemorial, humans and dogs have shared a special bond of friendship and mutual support. We realize that dog is definitely man’s most loyal friend that teaches us unconditional love keeping us and our dwellings safe, guarding our houses, our cattle, and our various material goods. So, here at the Ashram, all the dogs are very well cared for by providing them right kind of food, medication and a protective environment to stay happy and healthy.

It is believed that people suffering from the negative effects of Rahu and Shani might find some relief when they feed black dogs and hence, worshipping dogs is a very significant aspect of Hindu culture. Dogs are also used as therapy animals as they are believed to reduce symptoms of depression and stress. A Dog is man’s most faithful friend forever and it’s our duty to protect them and ensure their well-being.
