Buddhist Centre calls for peace and prayer for Sri Lanka.

On a heartfelt Sunday, December 7th, 2025, the serene grounds of the Shri Saddhatissa International Buddhist Centre in Kingsbury, London, blossomed with a global call for harmony and remembrance. An interfaith gathering unfurled its wings, uniting souls in a luminous quest for world peace and honouring the victims of the devastating tsunami.
Representing the noble International Sidhashram Shakti Centre and the sacred Sanatan Hindu community, the esteemed Peace Ambassador of the World Book of Records, HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji, was graciously invited to lead a prayer for unity and healing. The event was graced by dignitaries: Brent’s Mayor, Cllr. Ryan Hack, Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Mrs. Manorie Mallikaratchy, Mei Sim Lai, DL for Brent, alongside many distinguished guests and community leaders.
As the candle flames flickered in a collective gesture of hope, Buddhist monks, Sri Lankan officials, Guruji, and interfaith delegates joined in luminous homage—lighting candles dedicated to peace in Sri Lanka and beyond. Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji’s resonant voice echoed through the gathering as he chanted the sacred Gayatri Mantra, invoking universal harmony.

In a moment of profound gratitude, Guruji expressed heartfelt thanks to the Buddhist Centre for orchestrating this powerful event—a poignant reminder that, together, we can kindle the light of peace across our fractured world.
