International Yoga Day at the House of Commons with Holy Saints.
London, UK – In a profound celebration of International Yoga Day, the International Siddhashram Shakti Centre UK hosted a spiritual and interfaith gathering on Thursday, 19 June 2025, at House of Commons, UK Parliament. The event was held ahead of the official date, 21 June, due to the Parliamentary schedule and brought together dignitaries, interfaith leaders, and members of the public to honour the universal spirit of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”—the theme for this year’s International Yoga Day.
Presiding over the gathering was His Holiness Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji, revered Spiritual Head of the Siddhashram Shakti Centres worldwide, and a distinguished Global Interfaith and Sanatan Dharma Leader. Known for his tireless service to humanity, Guruji is at the forefront of promoting yoga, spirituality, interfaith harmony and cultural heritage in the UK and globally.
The event commenced with a one-minute silence in memory of the victims of the tragic Air India plane crash, followed by prayers led by Guruji alongside Pujya Rishi Ji Maharaj, Shri Niranjan Swami, and Pandit Shiv Puri Ji. A serene Navkar Mahamantra recitation was conducted by Samani Malay Pragya Ji, adding to the spiritual energy of the gathering.

Yoga: India’s Gift to the World – Bob Blackman MP
Padmashree Bob Blackman, MP for Harrow East and a long-time supporter of Indian heritage and wellness traditions, lauded the initiative, stating:
“Yoga is India’s gift to the world. I am pleased that the NHS has started incorporating yoga into its wellness practices. Yoga helps people live longer, healthier, and more balanced lives. Guruji’s leadership in bringing this vision to Parliament is truly commendable.”

Our youth must inherit this powerful tool for building stronger communities and a healthier world. I salute the efforts of Swami Ramdev Ji and Acharya Balkrishna Ji, who brought yoga and Ayurveda to every household. Honouring Spiritual Leaders and Young VoicesA special honour was presented to Pujya Rishi Sarkar Ji, acknowledging his unwavering commitment to uplifting the community through spiritual discourses and promoting Sanatan Dharma values. The certificate was presented jointly by Bob Blackman MP and HH Guruji.In his response, Rishi Ji Maharaj remarked:“Guruji is doing extraordinary work for Sanatan Dharma and in keeping our youth connected with our cultural roots.”________________________________________

• Samani Malay Pragya Ji eloquently explained the deeper meaning of Y.O.G.A:
Y – Yes to self, O – Open the door to peace, G – Give the pause, A – Awaken confidence.
She stressed the importance of daily practice.
• Chittal Shah and her team presented beautiful cultural performances and Chittal also served as the master of ceremonies.
• Children, including Vanisha, Kavya Sharma, and Giya spoke briefly but powerfully about what yoga means to them, symbolising the next generation of mindful citizens.
• From the Netherlands, Mahendra Ramcharan and Priya Ramcharan led a unique presentation on mindfulness.
• Kamakshi from St James’ Ambulance, Dr Malhar from Pune, Ashok Kumar Chauhan from the British Army, and Mahendra Singh Jadeja (Dada) also spoke on yoga’s benefits in their respective fields.
