Hosts the Grand Holika Dahan Celebrations at Siddhashram in Harrow, London.

The International Siddhashram Shakti Centre hosted a spiritually uplifting and widely attended Holika Dahan celebration at the Old Harrow Civic Centre Car Park, bringing together hundreds of community members in a powerful display of faith, unity and interfaith harmony.

Organised under the divine guidance of HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji, the annual celebration has become a significant fixture in Harrow’s cultural calendar, fostering communal goodwill and reinforcing the universal message of the triumph of good over evil.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished civic leaders and dignitaries including:
Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, Councillor Lynn Chesterman OBE
The Mayor of Hertsmere, Councillor Alpha Bird Collins
Councillor Janet Mote, Community Portfolio Holder, Harrow Council
Councillor David Perry, Leader of the Labour Group and Opposition Leader, Harrow Council
Simon Horn, Borough Commander for Harrow, London Fire Brigade
Mayor’s Consort Councillor Alan Chesterman
All were formally honoured by HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji in recognition of their service and commitment to the community.

Further dignitaries and community representatives honoured during the evening included Cllr Mina Parmar (Portfolio Holder for Housing, Harrow), Cllr Sasi Suresh, Cllr Krishna Suresh, Former Mayor Ajay Maru, Cllr Bhagwanji Chauhan, Cllr Prabhakar Kaza, Paramjit Singh Kohli, Royal Navy representative Kamakshi Jani, Kam Jani of St John Ambulance, and members of the Fire Brigade. They were honoured by the Centre’s Patron and former Mayor, Cllr Pankit Shah.

The event was gracefully conducted by Cllr Pankit Shah, while the sacred poojan ceremony was performed by Pt Mayank Bhatt, creating a spiritually charged and devotional atmosphere before the ceremonial lighting of the Holika fire.

Addressing the gathering, HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji said:
“Holika Dahan symbolises the victory of righteousness over negativity. In today’s world, this sacred fire reminds us to burn ego, hatred and division, and to strengthen unity, compassion and mutual respect in our society.”

He further added:
“Our mission has always been to bring communities together beyond barriers of faith or background. Harmony is the true strength of Britain.”

Collectively, the attending dignitaries praised the International Siddhashram Shakti Centre for its consistent efforts in promoting interfaith dialogue and community cohesion, describing the celebration as “a shining example of unity in diversity.”

With representation from civic leadership, emergency services, the Royal Navy, and diverse faith communities, the evening stood as a powerful testament to Harrow’s inclusive spirit and shared values.
