Revered saints come together aboard a special cruise for Sunderkand Path, prayers and blessings as International Siddhashram Shakti Centre UK marks its Silver Jubilee

In a unique and historic spiritual gathering in the heart of London, International Siddhashram Shakti Centre UK organised “Santon Ke Sang Sunderkand” aboard a special cruise on the River Thames on Tuesday, bringing together revered saints, spiritual leaders and devotees for collective prayers for world peace, unity and the timeless Sanatan principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ — the world is one family.

Held from 4pm to 6pm, the special programme saw the sacred Sunderkand Path recited while sailing on the River Thames, accompanied by special puja, prayers and blessings from revered saints visiting the UK from India.

The event was conceived by Sanatan Dharma Bhushan H.H. Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji, Founder of International Siddhashram Shakti Centre UK, and formed part of the Centre’s ongoing Silver Jubilee celebrations, marking 25 years of service to Sanatan Dharma, Indian culture, peace, harmony and the wider community in Britain.

Against the iconic backdrop of London and the River Thames, saints and devotees collectively prayed for peace and harmony across the world, transforming the journey into a moving expression of spirituality and unity.

The occasion also continued Siddhashram’s tradition of bringing India’s spiritual heritage to prominent British landmarks. The Centre had earlier pioneered the historic concept of holding Ganga Aarti on the River Thames, creating a symbolic spiritual connection between the sacred traditions of India and one of Britain’s most recognised rivers.

Revered saints join historic gathering
Among the spiritual leaders participating in Santon Ke Sang Sunderkand were Jagadguru Swami Chakrapani Nand Giri Ji Maharaj, National President of Sant Mahasabha and Hindu Mahasabha; Pujya Shri Pandokhar Sarkar Ji Maharaj, Peethadhishwar of Pandokhar Dham, Datia, Madhya Pradesh; and Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swami Ji Maharaj, Founder and Head of International Sadguru Foundation and Peethadhishwar and Supreme Authority of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth, Goa.

Also participating were Jain saint Pujya Shri Devendra Brahmachari Ji; Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatindranand Giri Ji Maharaj of Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhada, Haridwar; Pujya S.P. Swami of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Gadhada; Mahant Shri Rishishwaranand Ji Maharaj, Head of Chetan Jyoti Ashram, Haridwar; Mahant Shri Bhupendra Giri Ji Maharaj of Rishikesh; Mahamandaleshwar Swami Dr Umakantanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj of Juna Akhada, Haridwar and Shashwatam Foundation, Mauritius; and Shrimahant Narayan Giri Ji Maharaj, Peethadhishwar of the historic Shree Dudheshwar Nath Mahadev Math Mandir, Ghaziabad, and President of Delhi Sant Mahamandal.

Swami Niranjan Maharaj of Purusharth Ashram Sewa Trust, Haridwar; Mahant Shri Batuk Giri Ji Maharaj of Atal Ashram, Surat; Yogi Paramhansa Abhinav Ji; Shivpuri Ji Maharaj; Gurumata Brahmidevi Ji of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth, Goa; Sakhi Chandrakala Ji and Shri Chinmayanand Bapu Ji were also part of the spiritual gathering.

The saints collectively performed prayers and offered their blessings for peace in the world, harmony among communities and the welfare of humanity.

Spirituality on the heart of London
The sight of revered saints reciting Sunderkand and offering prayers while travelling along the Thames created a memorable spiritual experience for devotees, with London’s internationally recognised landmarks forming the backdrop.

Deputy Mayor of Harrow Cllr Mina Parmar attended as a special guest. Ashok Kumar Chauhan from the British Army also joined the programme, alongside community representatives and devotees.

Sanjay Giri, CEO of Network 10 News Channel, India, was specially present and the occasion was covered for audiences in India.

The gathering came a day after the historic Bhoomi Poojan of the new International Siddhashram Shakti Centre building in Harrow, where revered saints collectively blessed the next phase of Siddhashram’s journey.
