Hindu Council UK (HCUK) and Indo-European Kashmir Forum (IEKF) Celebrate Ram Navami at the House of Commons

March 26, 2026, the historic corridors of the House of Commons resonated with vibrant celebrations as the Hindu Council UK (HCUK) and the Indo-European Kashmir Forum (IEKF) jointly hosted a jubilant Ram Navami festival. This captivating gathering united parliamentarians, community luminaries, and distinguished guests in an afternoon rich with spiritual reverence, heartfelt dialogue, and colourful cultural performances, transforming the historic chamber into a vibrant mosaic of devotion and cultural unity.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa by His Holiness Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji, thereby establishing a revered and devotional atmosphere. The opening address was delivered by Mr. Bob Blackman, who acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Hindu community, addressed recent challenges, and reaffirmed his ongoing support. Subsequently, Mr. Krishna Bhan, Chair of the Hindu Council UK and President of the Indo-European Kashmir Forum, provided an overview of the programme.
Anil Bhanot and Sushil Pandit delved into the heart of Ram Navami and the idyllic ideals of Ram-Rajya, sharing poignant reflections that mirrored the festival’s spiritual core. Meanwhile, Gautam Sen expanded the horizon, weaving in rich historical narratives and profound philosophical insights that paint a broader tapestry of this timeless celebration.
The event was graced by inspiring addresses from Baroness Emma Nicholson, Lord Rami Ranger, and Neeraj Patil, whose words resonated deeply with the audience. Adding vibrant colors to the celebration, mesmerizing cultural performances by Ragasudha Vinjamuri and Shivani Gollapalli captivated hearts, while soulful devotional bhajans sung by Anil Bhanot infused the gathering with spiritual warmth and serenity.
The programme culminated in a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Krishna Bhan, transforming the event into a memorable and inspiring celebration filled with gratitude and shared joy.
