Pongal Celebration

Saturday 15th January, Harrow Tamil community association organized The Hindu Festival, Pongal, at Harrow council chamber with many cultural dances and invited honourable guests from different communities to mark the occasion. The Mayor and leader of Harrow Council and many more dignitaries were present. Special thanks to Cllr. Suresh Krishna and Cllr. Sasikala Suresh. This event will be televised on Zee, Colour and Sanskar TV channels. Pongal, which is also referred to as Thai Pongal, is a Hindu harvest festival celebrated by Tamils in India and Sri Lanka.
