Dhanatrayodashi, commonly referred to as Dhanteras, is the initial day of the Diwali or Tihar festival celebrated in most parts of India and Nepal. It falls on the thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu lunar months of Ashwin or Kartika. A special ritual or sadhna is performed by HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji at Siddhashram in Harrow, London.
